This looks gorgeous printed on wood. It is now hanging on my therapy office wall and is perfect. The color is true to the photo. I love it.
Artist's Description
Despite its small size, probably insignificant wildflowers to most, these colorful blooms always catch my attention. The Desert Globe Mallow (sphaeralcea ambigua), are bright orange-red or apricot, 5-petaled wildflowers, near the tips of weak, wide-ranging, sometimes sprawling stems.
When I first discovered them, I thought they only bloomed from May through July per the sources of some. I later read they actually bloom all year, as this January day will testify. I was capturing a famous rock formation in the Santa Cruz Valley near Green Valley, Arizona (USA), and low and behold this tiny bloom growing in the protection of a creosote bush, caught my attention. I just couldn't resist capturing such a colorful wildflower bloom in the wintertime.
