The spring of 2019 saw the Sonoran Desert of Arizona in one of its most magnificent wildflower blooms ever due to an unusually wet winter season.
I would often stop what I was doing in my bathroom and just gaze out the window at the beauty of it all. This is what I saw on the Vernal Equinox that year - the first day of spring. I decided to change the name from bathroom window to broken window because if you look closely, it is being propped up by a metal rod due to a broken spring. Plus it adds a bit of paradox to the situation. It's a beautiful sight seen from the window which suggests anything but broken in my eyes.
