Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

At Picacho Peak State Park, one can explore many of the mountainside, wildflower blossoms. Here we see, the brightly colored desert globemallow (sphaeralcea ambigua), pink globemallow. They generally photography those that are orange, but here, a rare moment of seeing pink.
Despite its small size, probably insignificant wildflowers to most, these pink blooms really caught my attention. With cup-shaped blooms, and crinkled leaves, I say, it's my pink pageantry. Think pink and pink power, one of those take back my life moments.

Thank you Debby for your return visit to this one. The globemallow is lovely little wildflower the blooms in springtime. It doesn’t belong to the cactus family. Although our cactus flower varieties in the Arizona Sonoran Desert are exceptionably beautiful.

Thank you Debby for stopping and sharing your wonderful comment. I really appreciate it! The globemallow I usually see, are orange (they are small, but pack a punch). It was a lovely surprise to see this lavender pink, at Picacho State Park. It is a great place to visit for springtime wildflowers. If we don't have too many more freeze mornings late in the season, it is suppose to be what is called a "super bloom" spring. I am looking forward to it. Be sure to get some pictures in your neck of the woods. Up-close and personal.
