Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

I was one of the thousands to visit the Arizona Picacho Peak State Park, as wildflowers burst onto the scene. Especially the Mexican gold poppies, the comeback kid has made its triumphant return. The wildflower season of 2019, is exploding!
At Picacho Peak State Park, one can explore many of the mountainside, wildflower blossoms. Here we see, the brightly colored desert globe mallow (sphaeralcea ambigua). Despite its small size, probably insignificant wildflowers to most, these colorful blooms always catch my attention. With cup-shaped blooms, and crinkled leaves, it's sheer "Desert Globemallow Vibrancy!"
